NYPAC Policies:
-All dancers must wear appropriate dancewear to every class, in order to participate. This includes any color leotard & tights, hair up & out of their face & all the shoes needed for each class. No gum chewing, baggy clothes or sweatpants are allowed during class! Older students are allowed to wear a form fitting tank top/ tshirt & shorts/skirt over their leotard if they wish. This is for ALL classes at NYPAC, and students not dressed in dance wear, may be asked to sit out. Company, Acro, PrePointe & Pointe classes are required to wear their hair in a bun and no tops permitted after warmup.
-Please arrive a few minutes early for class each week so students are ready to enter their room when the teacher calls them. If you happen to be late for class, put on your dancer’s shoes BEFORE walking into class.
-Attendance: It is important that students make it to every class possible all year. Starting March 1st, any student who misses 3+ classes, may not be permitted to perform in parts or the whole June recital.
-Please make sure your dancer has visited the bathroom before class every week.
-Please put your child’s name in their shoes & send them to class with a labeled Dance Bag each week.
-Tuition is due by the 15th of each semester. A $15.00 late fee will occur if payment is not recieved by then. At NYPAC, we understand that financial situations do arise, and we are more then understanding about late payments, as long as we are notified ahead of time.
-Makeup classes (for sickness or snowdays) can be done in any other class in your child's age catagory, except Company Classes. See our schedule to chose a makeup class in your child's age group.
-If a registered student at NYPAC wants to drop a class during the year, they need to submit this request in writing to either the secretary or by mail to the studio. Failure to do so will result in continued billing.
-Recital and costume information will be given out during the course of the year. The costume deposit is due with the 2nd semester payment and is $35. The balance of the costume will be added to your 4th semester payment. Costumes are $55-$65 each.
-At NYPAC, we encourage students to take multiple classes. We understand that this will sometimes result in students staying in our waiting room, or on our premises in between their class times. NYPAC is not responsible students who are not participating in a class.
-NYPAC has a No-Tolerance Rule against Bullying and Gossiping between students and parents. NYPAC is a Drama-Free studio and will not tolerate anyone participating in these actions. Studio owners Miss Cyara & Miss Jackie are always available to speak on the phone or have a meeting if you or your child are having an issue that you would like to speak about. We are extremely approachable!
-All dancers are to treat each other with respect & kindness! Being friendly is a great trait! Be the dancer who is positive, happy & eager to learn! Be supportive & show encouragement to your fellow dancers! Never say you "Can't" do something! You can! And NYPAC's encouraging staff will help you to do your best every class! These rules will help you in & out of the dance studio!
